Master Artists are completing their works for the 2012 Festival
Art and Cinema Project, a unique program only found at our Festival.
The most powerful media of our time, film, is interpreted by seven Sonoma County artists in a new Film Festival program dubbed Art & Cinema: A Duet Dialogue. The artists for 2012 are Kathleen McCallum, Gerald Huth, Karina Nishi Marcus, Connie Mygatt, Don Ponte, Suzanne Edminster, and Andre Wilenius.
Through their unique ability to probe the artistic intentions of five different films that will screen at the Santa Rosa International Film Festival (SRIFF), the artists have created their own interpretive artistic reaction through their art. Each piece will be displayed at its corresponding film screening.
There will be an exhibition of the current artists’ work as well as the Festival’s Official Artwork (original work, lithographs and posters) from the past 25 years!
